Bel Monte Endurance Races – rugged East Coast running in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Bel Monte Endurance Races are rugged East Coast running at it's best. Community and rugged trails blend into a suffer-fest that will keep a smile on your face. Unlike it’s cousin, the Ultra Race of Champions, which has one of the largest prize purses in the East Coast, Bel Monte is an early season challenge to kick start your racing season.

East coast running at its best. Community and rugged trails blend into a suffer-fest that will keep a smile on your face. Unlike it’s cousin, the Ultra Race of Champions, which has one of the largest prize purses in the East Coast, Bel Monte is an early season challenge to kick start your racing season.  For added fun, the weather can be unpredictable.

This year, the race starts and ends at the idyllic Shenandoah Acres. Dip your tired legs into the lake while you gather with family and friends on the beach. Camping sites, RV parking and cabins provide plenty of options to enjoy.

Course note: Both the 50k and 50 miler share the last climb where you will want to save your legs. It has some steep sections and the switchbacks can seem to go on forever. Keep focused and the welcome at the Camp Marty aid station will lift your spirits for the 6-ish miles to the finish.
